Terms & Conditions

The remap settings we install are permanent and will not change unless reprogrammed.  Upon completion of our service, your vehicle will either maintain its initial performance or demonstrate improvements based on the remapping.  The optimal remap settings applied are specifically tailored to your vehicle to deliver noticeable benefits.  If an issue arises following our service, it is most likely due to a pre-existing or developing mechanical fault, not the remap itself.  Once the mechanical issue is resolved, the vehicle should return to its optimal performance.

We conduct a basic vehicle health check before remapping.  This check is not a comprehensive mechanical inspection and serves only as a preliminary assessment of your vehicle’s condition.  If we determine your vehicle is not in a suitable condition for remapping, we reserve the right to refuse the service.

The customer is responsible for ensuring their vehicle is in sound mechanical condition before remapping.  Weak components may fail under the increased demands of a remap.  GDM Performance disclaims all liability for any mechanical or electrical part failures during or after remapping, except where such damages result directly from gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Liability is limited to the cost of the remapping service provided.  We are not liable for the following components, including but not limited to: turbos, injectors, fuel pumps, clutches, gearboxes, DPF, DSG, EGR, boost leaks, coil packs, MAF/MAP sensors, or boost pipes.

These components have a serviceable lifespan, and remapping may place greater demands on them, potentially highlighting existing weaknesses.

We work with external remap writers, and the liability for errors or issues arising from third-party remap files lies solely with the remap writer.

By using our services, you agree to indemnify and hold GDM Performance harmless for any problems caused by third-party remap files.

The customer agrees to inform their insurance company of the remapping.   Failure to do so may void their insurance, for which GDM Performance accepts no liability.

The customer also agrees to maintain their vehicle with regular servicing, high-quality parts, and fuel, and acknowledges that performance tuning increases the demand on mechanical and electrical components.

The customer is responsible for covering costs associated with any independent diagnostics or repairs required before or after the remapping process.

No refunds are offered under any circumstances after the installation of the modified software unless required by applicable law.  If the remap is uninstalled for diagnostics, no refunds will be provided.  Reinstallation may incur additional charges based on time required.

Performance gains from remapping are approximate and depend on factors such as the vehicle’s condition, outside temperature, driving style, tyre pressures, and regular servicing.  We will ask you at the time of visit to test-drive your vehicle to ensure no faults are introduced, we cannot guarantee specific performance outcomes.

Any features such as Pops and Bangs, Antilag, or Hardcut Limiters are strictly installed at the customer’s own risk.  These modifications are not recommended and may significantly increase stress on various mechanical and electrical components of the vehicle, potentially leading to damage or premature wear.  By opting for these features, the customer accepts full responsibility for any resulting issues, and GDM Performance disclaims all liability for any consequences arising from their use.

GDM Performance shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, regulatory changes, or supplier delays.

If you experience faults after remapping, contact us immediately.  We may ask you to return the vehicle for diagnostics.  If required, we may request a third-party mechanic’s assessment, with costs borne by the customer. I n most cases, we will address the issue at no additional charge unless significant time is required.

If you choose remapping to address an existing issue (e.g.,EGR valve fault), and the remap does not resolve it, charges for our time and service will still apply.

This document contains the entirety of the agreement between the customer and GDM Performance.  No verbal or written agreements outside this document shall be considered binding or enforceable unless explicitly agreed to in writing by both parties.

Acknowledgment of Terms: By using any of our services you confirm that you have read all of the terms thoroughly and fully understand and accept and agree to the terms and conditions set out above.
